BOE approves Real Property Tax Law 466-a local eligibility

At its February 16 meeting, Middletown's Board of Education approved eligibility requirements for local volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers to receive a reduction in school taxes through Real Property Tax Law 466a, as enacted by Chapter 670 of the Laws of 2022. Those eligible can receive up to a 10 percent reduction on the assessed evaluation of their primary residence.
