"I am Middletown"--Isabella Giraldo

Isabella Giraldo

“I am Middletown”

Welcome to our long-time feature, which gives people in the Middletown school district a chance to meat and learn about the scholars in their community. We asked each scholar 10 questions, and the answers combined create a mini-profile about their lives. So what does “I am Middletown” mean? We cannot be defined by one or two words. Everything about all of us makes us unique, and that uniqueness makes us Middletown.

Meet Isabella Giraldo, a William A. Carter Elementary School fifth-grader who is in the National Elementary Honor Society.

Her proudest William A. Carter moment: “When I got selected into the National Elemetary Honor Society.”

Her favorite part of school: “Band.”

If she had $1 million: “I would donate money to the people in need.”

Three places she want to visit: “Dujiangyan Panda Base, Japan and Colombia.”

Her greatest accomplishment: “Finishing fourth grade.”

Her ideal meal: “Eating sushi for dinner.”

What inspires her: “The group ‘Hope for Paws’ inspires me to work there because they rescue animals.”

On her bedroom walls: “I have a picture frame with a picture of flowers on my wall.”

The last good book he read: “’You’re Here for a Reason,’ by Nancy Tillman.”

In 10 years she’ll be: “I’ll be working for Hope for Paws.”
