“I am Middletown”

Welcome to our long-time feature, which gives people in the Middletown school district a chance to meat and learn about the scholars in their community. We asked each scholar 10 questions, and the answers combined create a mini-profile about their lives. So what does “I am Middletown” mean? We cannot be defined by one or two words. Everything about all of us makes us unique, and that uniqueness makes us Middletown.

Meet Izah Chaudhry, a Presidential Park Elementary School fifth-grader who is in the National Elementary Honor Society.

Her hobbies: “Painting, and drawing because it makes me feel relaxed when I had a long day. It relaxes me down.”

On her bedroom walls: “A bunch of paintings/sayings like, ‘Believe in yourself.’”

The last good book she read: “It was ‘I am Geronimo Stilton,’ by Elisabetti Dami.”

Her three favorite movies: “’Boss Baby,’ ‘The Incredibles’ and ‘Moana.’”

Her proudest Presidential Park moment: “When I got inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society.”

One thing people may not know about her: “That I always wanted my hair to be curly or wavy.”

What makes her happy: “Painting and drawing.”

Her three favorite television shows: “’Odd Squad,’ ‘SpongeBob’ and ‘Loud House.’”

Her favorite part of school: “The part when I can do sciences and specials in school. I also love intramurals, when I can play games in the morning.”

Her greatest accomplishment: “When I got into the National Elementary Honor Society.”

In 10 years I’ll be: “I will be very responsible and the age of 20. I also think I will be in college.”
