"I am Middletown"--Reese Quinlan

"I am Middletown"

Welcome to our regular personality profile, which gives people in the Middletown school district a chance to meet and learn about their students. The answers to these questions create a mini-profile of their lives.

Meet Reese Quinlan, a Maple Hill Elementary School fifth-grader.

Her hobbies: "Softball, acting, playing the piano and reading mystery novels."

Her inspiration: "Watching people that are very good at what they do. It is inspiring to watch professional baseball and softball players, and even my fellow players on my major division Little League softball team. I aspire to be like some of the piano and violin players that I watch."

The last good book she read: "'Everstein,' by James Patterson, which of course, is a mystery novel."

What she likes the most about herself: "I love my sense of style. I enjoy planning my outfits daily to fit my mood of the day."

Her ideal meal: "It would be steak with blue cheese on the side, with french fries and a large Coke."

The talent she would most like to have: "The ability to rock climb. I feel that ability shows strength on the inside and outside of an individual."

Three places she wants to visit: "Mexico, Utah and Australia."

The world's biggest problem: "Pollution. I also feel we as a community can come together and solve that problem by recycling and switching to using clean energy."

Her favorite part of school: "Math, because I like to solve problems."

Her three favorite movies: "'Beauty and the Beast,' 'Frozen' and 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi.'"
