"I am Middletown"

Welcome to our regular personality profile, which gives people in the Middletown school district a chance to meet and learn about their students. The answers to these questions create a mini-profile of their lives.

Meet Sam McElroy, a Twin Towers Middle School eighth-grader who is a member of the National Junior Honor Society.

Three places she wants to visit: "Greece, Rome and Paris."

On her bedroom walls: "A bunch of Harry Potter posters and a 9 3/4 Platform Plaque."

Her music: "Music that is sung in musicals - NOT RADIO!"

The last good book she read: "'Quarantine: The Loners,' by Lex Thomas."

The world's biggest problem: "We aren't noticing and appreciating people enough, overlooking them, and not spreading love."

If she had $1 million: "I would donate half of the money to a children's orphanage, and then donate the rest amongst my friends, to help them pay for college, etc."

One thing people may not know about her: "I'm not as happy as I may seem."

What makes her unhappy: "When people give me credit for things that I have done."

Her three favorite television shows: "'Bones,' 'Escape the Night' and 'Law & Order.'"

Her favorite part of school: "Biology."

In 10 years she'll be: "A forensic scientist."
