"I am Middletown"-Amayalise Perez

"I am Middletown"

Welcome to our regular personality profile, which gives people in the Middletown school district a chance to meet and learn about their students. The answers to these questions create a mini-profile of their lives.

Meet Amayalise Perez, a William A. Carter fifth-grader who thinks a lot about other people.

Her inspiration:
"My parents, and sayings and quotes inspire me."

Three places she wants to visit: "Arizona, Hawaii and California."

On her bedroom walls: "I have a shelf, decals, corkboard, glow in the dark stars."

What she likes the most about herself: "I like my personality."

The world's biggest problem: "Us as humans, some of us don't care about other humans and it's really said."

Her greatest accomplishment: "Being part of the honor society."

If she had $1 million: "I would split it. I'd buy food for people who need it. I'd give a chunk of money to my family and the last bit I'd keep to myself."

What makes her happy: "When I had a good day and everything is working out for me and there are no problems."

What makes her unhappy: "When I've had a terrible day, I'm tired and don't want to do anything - and there are a lot of problems at school."

Her ideal day: "I wake up with energy ready to start the day and I learn something good at school."

In 10 years she'll be: "I'll hopefully be a lawyer with a scholarship at a really good school - and I will have a decent amount of money to buy myself and my parents a nice house."
