Meet Alycea Roache, a Maple Hill Elementary School fifth-grader who might someday return to her building in another capacity.
Her hidden talent: “My hidden talent is that I am a really good swimmer.”
Her inspiration: “My family inspires me because they are always there for me.”
If she could trade places with somebody for one day: “I would be Albert Einstein, if he were still alive.”
Three places she wants to visit: “I would like to visit The Museum of Natural History. I would also like to go to Comic Con. The last place I want to go to is the beach.”
The last good book she read: “The last really good I read was ‘Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone,’ by J.K. Rowling.”
Her three favorite movies: “’Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,’ ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘The Greatest Showman.’”
Her greatest accomplishment: “My greatest accomplishment is getting into the National Elementary Honor Society, or just NEHS.”
If she had $1 million: “One, I would help get me and my family our own house, and with the leftover money, I will help others that don’t have their own house and that don’t have anywhere to stay.”
What makes her happy: “What makes me happy is my family and friends.”
Her favorite part of school: “When I get to school, because I know I’m going to do my best and also I get to see my friends and my teacher.”
In 15 years she’ll be: “Depending on my grades, I will be a teacher or a college student about to graduate to become a teacher.”
