2023-24 Scholastic Art Awards

Middletown High School had five scholars receive multiple awards in the annual Scholastic Art Awards contest, with all local Gold and Silver Key winners to be honored at a ceremony at 7 p.m. February 2 at the SUNY New Paltz Studley Theater.


Adriana Sanon received two Gold Keys, one in the Film and Animation category, the other in Digital Art. She is one of 11 Middletown scholars receiving Gold Keys. All Gold Key recipients will automatically have their work considered for national recognition in this contest.


Adriana also won a Silver Key in Digital Art, one of 14 Middletown scholars to receive this designation.


Ash Nieves Calle won one Gold Key and three Silver Keys, all in Digital Art. Jordan Melendez won three Silver Keys (Digital Art). Laila Carty and Hailey Ramirez each won two Silver Keys, Laila’s in Drawing and Illustration, Hailey’s in Digital Art.
