Middletown families Experience Our Programs
The best the Middletown school district has to offer was on full display Friday night, and our scholars received plenty of support as roughly 2,500 people attended the annual "Experience our Programs" night at Middletown High School.
The event, which featured the work of our scholars in Kindergarten through 12th grade, was divided into three categories and locations. Art, music and dance were featured on the first floor, near the theater, as well as the front of the building. Humanities were celebrated in the Library Media Center, as well as in the adjacent hallway. The basement featured our finest work in technology and engineering, as well as our NJROTC. The third floor featured Science and Mathematics.
The history of this night began more than a decade ago, when we began celebrating our art, music and dance programs annually. Artwork from every grade was on display, with musical and dance performances sprinkled in throughout the night. STEM night was created more recently, and the wildly popular event drew big crowds as Middletown's Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics programs were spotlighted. In recent years, a greater spotlight and focus has been placed on our Humanities programs, which are featured during special nights throughout the school year.
Last year was the first time all of the programs were celebrated and on display on one spring night, and the response from the community was amazing - as it was Friday night.
