Universal Pre-Kindergarten

We are proud to partner with local childcare providers to offer a high-quality, free preschool program for children residing in our district. Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) is designed to prepare young scholars for a successful transition to Kindergarten school by teaching social, emotional, and learning skills in a caring environment. Research shows that children who attend preschool demonstrate improved academic performance, better social skills, and enhanced self-regulation. 

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the UPK program, the child must be

• a resident in the Middletown City School District
• four years old on or before December 1, 2025
