About the Gay-Straight Alliance
The Middletown Gay-Straight Alliance is a club centered on three pillars: Advocacy, Education, and Support. LGBTQ+ students often face a variety of unique difficulties in and out of the classroom, and the Gay-Straight Alliance offers a place of safety and support for students to connect with their peers while developing leadership qualities to be informed citizens and advocates in their community. Students learn about the LGBT community, meet and discuss topics like bullying, and work to educate their peers to make Middletown a more inclusive space. We meet every Thursday from 2:40 - 3:15 in Room 359 at Middletown High School.
