    About our program

The purpose of the Middletown Mentor-Intern Program is to retain highly qualified teachers. These beginning teachers, who are new to the Middletown City School District and qualify, are assigned experienced, trained mentors who will provide support through frequent and guided contact. The program also helps to ease the transition for new teachers, while fostering a collaborative professional community. The program is in accordance with section 100.2 regulations of the Commissioner of Education (please see the Mentor/Intern Policy below).
