Dear Enlarged City School District of Middletown Community,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Middletown! I hope you and your loved ones had the opportunity to rest and reconnect over the summer. Whether your summer was filled with joy or came with challenges, we hope you received the support and care you needed.

As we embark on this new school year, I am excited about the opportunities ahead. We remain dedicated to upholding academic excellence, enhancing the scholar experience, and deepening our community connections—all while celebrating the rich diversity that defines our school district. Please mark your calendars: the first day for scholars is September 4, 2024. For specific opening day schedules and additional details, please visit the individual school websites.

To those joining us for the first time, a warm welcome to Middletown, one of the most dynamic and welcoming school districts in Orange County. We are committed to providing every scholar with the support and resources necessary to achieve their fullest potential. For our returning families, it’s wonderful to have you back! The beginning of a new school year is a time to build upon our legacy, and I am confident that the 2024-2025 school year will be a defining moment in our collective journey.

This summer, our teams were actively engaged in delivering a variety of programs, including summer school, enrichment activities, and camps, while also preparing diligently for the new school year. Our non-instructional teams completed crucial campus upgrades focused on health, safety, and security. Our food services staff revamped menus to ensure excellent nutrition, while educators and support staff engaged in professional development and curriculum planning. We deeply appreciate everyone's dedication and hard work. Your commitment embodies the Middie Pride that makes our community exceptional.

I also want to extend our deepest gratitude to our Board of Education members for their steadfast support and dedication. Your commitment to serving our school community, along with your guidance and leadership, is vital to our success. Together, we look forward to working toward our shared goals and making this school year exceptional for everyone in our district. We anticipate coming together as a community to foster a year of learning, trust, respect, and responsibility.
