Superintendent Creeden's first day message

Dear Middletown School District Families, 

What a fantastic start to the 2024-2025 school year! Our first day was nothing short of exhilarating, filled with the enthusiasm and energy of our scholars. We are thrilled with how smoothly everything went, and it’s all thanks to your incredible support and cooperation.

A huge thank you for your warm welcomes at arrival, your bright smiles at the bus stops, and your patience during the departure process. Your efforts have truly made a difference, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start.

As we fine-tune our new systems, please be aware that there may be a few initial delays with school arrivals and departures. With new systems in place on some campuses and our tiered bus routes, minor delays are expected. We appreciate your understanding as we work through these early kinks. Rest assured, our team is dedicated to making sure our routines become more efficient with each passing day, ensuring timely and safe procedures for all our students.

This year is filled with potential for us to continue to work together as a school community and create unforgettable, legacy-worthy moments. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with your wonderful young people every day. The smooth start to this school year is a true testament to the strength of our collective effort. By working together as one team, we are confident that we’ll continue to achieve remarkable things and make this year extraordinary for everyone.

We also want to extend our deepest appreciation to every member of our school district family—our caring administrators, dedicated educators, valued clerical staff, diligent nurses, creative food service staff, hardworking custodians and buildings and grounds staff, our indispensable technology team, and our dedicated partners at Mid-City. We are also grateful for the unwavering support from the city, town, and local police municipalities, whose collaboration and dedication are instrumental in our success. Each of you plays a crucial role, and your commitment and effort are truly recognized. From the smooth operation of daily tasks to the essential behind-the-scenes work, you make a significant impact on our scholars' educational experience.
