Middletown High School seniors Noopur Patel and Eden Lugo were sworn in as scholar Board of Education members at the August 21 meeting the MHS library media center. They each will serve a term that lasts the length of their school year, and will contribute as a voice for their fellow scholars, as well as contribute to BOE meeting discussions. They will not have a vote.

They were joined last night by family and friends, who watched Noopur and Eden become the second and third scholar BOE members since the program was initiated last year. They replace Norma Avila, who graduated in June.
