Dear Presidential Families,
The Administrative Team at Presidential Park would like to thank you for your patience as we navigate restructuring our pick-up and walker dismissal procedures for Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade students only. We appreciate your time and cooperation with our current process and are looking forward to a continued partnership in ensuring the safety of all of our scholars.
Beginning today, our families of our Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade students will notice a change to the practice of releasing your child to you, whether you are waiting at the school in person or pulled up along the lower loop in your car. At check in, families will be given a specific card to show when your child is escorted to you. This card will match the card your child has and at that point, we can be confident of the safety of our scholars. You will not be keeping this card, our escorts will collect the card from you so there is no requirement for you to manage a card to pick up your child. Parents and guardians, if you plan to walk up to the school to check in and pick up your child, we ask that you remain on the Main Door side of the wall and not wait for your child by the flagpoles.
Knowing this is a new process for everyone involved in dismissal of our walker and pick up students, we are anticipating our dismissal to take slightly longer than normal. Again, we ask and thank you ahead of time for your patience and understanding. We know the process will improve our safety reassurances for your child and will become more time efficient with more time given to the process.
