Pie the Principal!

Topping off Middies Love to Read Spirit Week on Friday, March 27, Middletown High School had a Pie the Principal event to celebrate reaching their reading goals! MHS scholars had the goal of reading 250,000 minutes, and they have soared past that by reading 342,715 minutes so far this school year!

Mr. Donohue, Mr. Fratto, and Mr. Garritano came to school today prepared to take Cool Whip to the face. The pieing honors were given to Melodie Zayas, who read the most in the whole school, Taylor Stanberry, who read the most in Mr. Garritano's class, and Mrs. Ferrer, who read the most of any staff member. The pieing was broadcast live to the classrooms, so everyone got the chance to witness this delicious event! It's certainly a good motivator to read.
