Odyssey of the Mind
SUNDAY UPDATE: Our two MHS teams have received a berth in the New York State championships, and will compete April 5 at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse!

SATURDAY UPDATE: Congratulations to the Middletown High School Odyssey of the Mind team, which finished second in the technical division at the regional competition in Goshen on Saturday. The squad, coached by Cerima Thomas, is comprised of Santiago Ruiz, Matthew Ruiz, Katie Montano, Kevin Garcia Rodas, Saniyah Piniero, Jae Richardson and Amira Patrick.
Middletown High School also had second team finish second in a different high school division. The team, coached by Stephanie Sears, is comprised of Norah Cardinal, Jailynn Harmon, Addison Burger, Rachel Dong, Emma Vermillion, Alivia Cordova, Kimberly Peralta.
Presidential Park placed third in an elementary division, and is shown below in the stage photo. This team, coached by Mildred Silva, is comprised of David Masci, Aiden Munoz, Sophia Castrejon, London Lews, Ramzia Oukpedjo, Kayden Torruella and Min-Son Grimaldi.
Congratulations to all of our teams!
Odyssey of the Mind teams from Middletown High School, Monhagen Middle School, Twin Towers Middle School, Maple Hill Elementary School, Presidential Park Elementary School, and William A. Carter Elementary School will be heading to the Regional Tournament on Saturday, March 1! The competition will take place at Orange Ulster BOCES (53 Gibson Rd, Goshen, NY).
Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem-solving program that encourages divergent thinking, bringing the classroom to life as students apply what they learn and combine it with their interests and passions. The competition emphasizes teamwork, budgeting, time management, public speaking, and so much more!
