NYS Lt. Governor Delgado visits MHS

New York Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado visited Middletown High School on Wednesday afternoon and led a terrific discussion on civic engagement and voter education. It was part of a voter registration education event that involved members of the MHS My Sister's Keeper and My Brother's Keeper programs.

Lieutenant Governor Delgado spoke about his journey that began in the rap music industry, when he became a lawyer and then U.S. Congressman in 2018 and in his current role four years later. Our young people did a tremendous job in the discussion, and asked great questions.

This program was organized and led by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Alpha Gamma Eta Omega Chapter (Orange County, NY). The sorority collaborated with the Lt. Governor's Office, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the Enlarged City School District of Middletown.

Special thanks goes out to the City of Middletown Police Department, the district's security team, food service department, MHS administration and to our MHS families for their patience as this event coincided with dismissal.
