Congratulations to Middletown High School senior Norma Avila, who was sworn in Thursday night as a non-voting student Board of Education member. Norma was recommended by Superintendent Creeden, followed by a unanimous approval by our Board.
The position was created after the approval in May by Middletown school district voters. Norma will serve during the duration of the school year, and already proven after one meeting to be a valuable addition.
