Maple Hill Scholars Placed in ADAC Poster Contest

Every year, the Alcohol and Drug Awareness Council (ADAC) of Orange County holds its countywide Substance Use Prevention Poster Contest. Four 4th Grade scholars from Maple Hill participated in the contest, creating their own posters that fit this year's theme: "Picture Your Future Through a Drug Free Lens."

Frida Ventura, Elena Guzman Rivera, Paige Chappell, and Jordyn Oldfield visited Ms. Pilla's art classroom during the school day, including recess, to work on their personal design styles. Ms. Pilla offered help with materials and design advice, but the great results largely came from independent work. In fact, the results were so great that two scholars, Paige Chappell and Jordyn Oldfield, placed in the contest and will be going to the Award Ceremony in Goshen on May 8th!

Congratulations to Paige and Jordyn, and a job well done to Frida and Elena!
