On Friday afternoon, dozens and dozens of people lined the entrance to the Maple Hill Annex at Truman Moon Elementary School for a bittersweet send-off. After 34 years of service to Middletown schools, Principal Tracey Sorrentino is off to enjoy her retirement!

Mrs. Sorrentino graduated from Middletown High School with the Class of 1987, and five years later she returned to the district as an educator. She taught at Memorial Elementary, JW Chorley, and MHS. From there, she became the Special Education Department chairperson and then house principal. She served as principal at Monhagen Middle School, Middletown High School, and finally Maple Hill Annex.

From student to educator to administrator, Mrs. Sorrentino's blood runs Middle Blue! Thank you for your dedicated time here at the Enlarged City School District of Middletown.
