Scholars this past week at Twin Towers Middle School, Monhagen Middle School and Middletown High School were involved in powerful “Turn the Page” assemblies by visitor Matt Bennett.

Through sharing his own life experiences and struggles, Matt’s are a life-changing, 60-minute experience for scholars on their level, in order to inspire them to take responsibility for their own personal and academic success.

In each assembly, Matt - who grew up in tough Compton, part of Los Angeles - helps young people navigate through some of the very real and dark pain in their lives and then empowers them with the mindset and strategy to overcome those obstacles.

Matt’s powerful messages of hope and perseverance humbled everybody in the room, made them laugh, brought tears, and then sent our scholars out inspired.
