ECSDM Begins "Leader in Me" Program

Hello Middletown Community,

We are thrilled to formally announce our partnership with Leader in Me as we embark on this transformative journey as a school community cultivating leadership and empowering scholars to reach their fullest potential. Through the Leader in Me practices scholars will develop leadership skills, build strong interpersonal relationships, and create positive change within their communities. Through comprehensive training for staff and scholars, ongoing coaching, and the establishment of scholar and staff Lighthouse teams, we aim to achieve Lighthouse School District status by the 2026-2027 School Year. 

As part of the first year of implementation, we are conducting an MRA Survey (Measurable Result Assessment) to gather important feedback from grade-selected educators, staff, scholars, and families. Starting January 13, 2024 - January 31, 2025, our schools will administer our first MRA Survey to scholars in grades 5, 8, and 11 as part of the LiM program. The MRA Survey will be used to provide a holistic picture of our school community. Your completion of the MRA survey is a key component in helping us assess how the program is being introduced, how we can continue to strengthen our approach, and how best to support our school community throughout this exciting journey.

 The MRA includes three different surveys; 

1) One completed by designated school staff

2) One completed by your scholar(s) in grades 5th, 8th, and/or 11th grade

3) One completed by the families of scholars in grades 5th, 8th, and/or 11th grade

Together, we are fostering a culture of empowerment, inclusivity, and excellence, preparing our scholars to lead with confidence and integrity.
