Class of 2025 graduation
Middletown High School held its Class of 2025 graduation ceremony on June 27, with nearly 600 graduates at the Faller Field Stadium at MHS.
The morning began as our young Legacy Makers led the procession of Board of Education members, district administration and teachers - as well as the graduates, onto the field.
The Senior Chorus, which included our graduates, performed our National Anthem and “A Song for the MHS Alma Mater. Valedictorian Summer Elrefaei and Layla Dawson, who was chosen by her class, gave the senior commencement addresses.
There was a combined musical presentation of “Best Day of My Life” by Senior Chorus members and the Maple Hill Elementary Drumming Ensemble, followed by the singing of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by the Chamber Singers. Retiring long-time music teacher Greg Bennett directed the Chamber Singers and was acknowledged for his years of service in the district.
The presentation of diplomas followed on a wonderful day during which the weather held out for the packed crowd of family and friends. Also honored was the memory of Hannah and T.C., members of this graduating class, and their families received their diplomas.
