City of Middletown Emergency Food Assistance Program
The City of Middletown is offering a $50 benefit certificate to purchase eligible items. This program is open to City of Middletown residents who are being affected by recent federal SNAP funding cuts.
The program is limited to 200 families. If more applications are received, recipients will be selected by lottery. The program may be expanded subject to funding.
Applications open on October 29th, 2025 and close at 4:00 pm on November 4th, 2025. You can apply via phone, online, or in person to the Recreation office located at 393 County Route 78, Middletown, NY.
Garcia's Supermarket (123 North Street, Middletown, NY) and Market Fresh (50-58 Fulton Street, Middletown, NY) are participating in the program.
How to Help
Any person or business looking to donate to this program can contact the Recreation Department. Donations of non-perishable items can be dropped off at City Hall. All proceeds received will go directly to residents in need.
