BOE honors outgoing member Mitch Williams
Board of Education Vice President Mitch Williams was recognized at the June 18 meeting as his term as Vice President and BOE member ends June 30. After serving for four school years, beginning in 2021, he did not seek re-election.
Mr. Williams chaired the district's Diversity Committee, which was comprised of community members, along the district teachers, administrators and staff. He also was one of the original organizers of the annual "It Takes a Village" community picnic that takes place near the beginning of each school year at Davidge Park.
We thank him for his service, and wish him well in his future endeavors - which will include leading the boxing program through the City of Middletown Recreation Department.
