Alyssa Platero accepts Division I softball scholarship

Congratulations to MHS senior Alyssa Platero, who was recognized and honored November 13 in a brief ceremony for signing her national letter-of-intent to accept a Division I softball scholarship at St. John's University.

Alyssa, who is Middletown's shortstop, has been a varsity player since eighth grade. She would have played varsity in seventh grade, but that season was canceled due to COVID. She plays in the outfield with her travel team, and was recruited by St. John's to be an outfielder.
