GED/TASC information

  • The GED/TASC Examination is administered over two days.  Part I of the exam is given on Friday evening from 5 p.m.-9:30 p.m. at Middletown High School. Registration begins promptly at 5 p.m. on Friday evening. Part II is given on Saturday from 7:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at Middletown High School. No Saturday registrations are allowed. To register, you must file an application with the Chief Examiner six to eight weeks prior to the test date.

    To obtain an application, the candidate may visit the main lobby of Middletown High School. When the application is received, an admission ticket will be sent with the date of the exam and other instructions. To enter into the examination, the candidate must have two forms of ID. PHOTO ID IS MANDATORY.

    Any candidate who is 19 years of age or older may take the GED exam. If the candidate is under 19 years of age, proof of eligibility must be provided. Please contact Shirley Frank with questions.     The GED Examination is also given in Spanish on all of the above dates. The Spanish version contains an additional exam, so the completion time on Saturday is about 2 p.m. Please note: Modified testing for candidates with NYSED approved modifications will be scheduled by appointment only.
