The Middletown City School District continues to provide continuity of learning to students in grades PreK-12 despite any need for an extended closure - such as the most recent period due to the public health crisis COVID-19.  When teaching and learning is interrupted due to unusual circumstances continuation of learning is critical. Many considerations contribute to planning as we develop varied learning experiences for students. Our district, under the guidance of Governor Cuomo and the New York State Education Department, is utilizing remote learning experiences for all students.  We consider accessibility, type and quality of materials, length of time learning experiences require student engagement, and connection to applicable New York State Learning Standards. Our goal is to continue learning so student academic progress can be maintained.
