Welcome to William A. Carter Elementary School

Serving students in grades 2-5, Mechanicstown Elementary School is committed to helping children learn in an environment where they can feel valued. Here at Mechanicstown, every parent, employee, and volunteer joins together with our students to create a family-like atmosphere.

Our school offers a variety of programs to help students build a strong academic foundation in English Language Arts (ELA), math, science, and social studies along with music, art, physical education, library studies, and technology. Chorus, band, and orchestra are also offered to students giving them a chance to tap into their individual creativity and self-expression.
