skits, and puppets to engage students and encourage
participation.

Students
get a lesson in good eats
Truman Moon students recently got a lesson in good eats
from Meg Oakes, a registered dietitian with Orange County's
Eat Well Play Hard (EWPH) program.
Oakes reviewed the various types
gourds, squashes, and pumpkins currently in season and handed
out pumpkin muffins for students to try. Nutrition
education, such as this, is part of the district's efforts
to educate its students on diet and making healthy food
choices.
