The
following clubs/activities are held for students
at Monhagen Middle School throughout the school year.
l
Art
Club:
Enjoy a day after school expressing yourself through
art. Some of the mediums explored are: drawing,
painting, set design, clay, and paper mache.
l
Kiwanis
Builders Club:
Students participate in a variety of community service
activities in conjunction with the Middletown Kiwanis
Club that benefit our school and the community.
l
Computer Workshop:
Students are given the opportunity to do additional work
on their classroom assignments. Students can utilize the
school's technology resources for any school-related
assignment. Students can receive individual or small
instruction on any of the school's software programs.
l
Drama Club:
The Drama Club performs two major productions yearly.
Each show is cast based on auditions. Rehearsal times
vary depending upon the role, starting out with a light
schedule and intensifying as the production dates near.

Horticulture Club

Jazz
Band:
Jazz band is an opportunity for students to perform
music.
Students will learn to perform in various styles of Jazz
as well as learn how to improvise. The Jazz band
performs three concerts a year in December, March and
June.

Multi-Cultural Club

Newspaper Club:
The Newspaper Club is responsible for creating a
newspaper that lets parents and students know what is
going on at Monhagen. The club allows members to use
their talents in writing to express their thoughts and
ideas in a creative and innovative way. Members also
learn how to edit, and learn the proper way of formatting a
newspaper.

Science Club:
The science club offers students the opportunity to
explore different areas of science. They will use
science problem-solving skills in the lab and in the
field to discover some of the wonders of science.
l Ski
Club:
Whether you already know how to ski, or want to learn,
this club can be fun for all.
l
Student Council:
Student government attempts to make
the school more meaningful to the student body through
social activities, community service and by allowing
opinions of the students to be heard.
l
Yearbook Club:
Students assist in the creation of the school
book. Students are also involved in layout, design,
writing and photography. |
