Five MHS students ready to travel Europe
Middletown High School News ON Jun 07, 2012
Five Middletown High School students will travel throughout Europe in July as People To People student ambassadors.
Lindsey Brown, Jade Cardichon, Jonathan Gomez, Corrinne Jewell and James Shuback will spend time in Italy (Rome, Florence, Pisa, Venice), Austria (Vienna, Mauthausen), Switzerland (Zurich) and France (Paris).
“The experience these kids will get is incredible,” said Bob Bliefernich, a People To People coordinator who will chaperone the group with Cardichon, Gomez and Shuback. They will travel July 3-22.
“They’ll be doing two or three things every day. They’ll keep travel journals. These kids have already had 12 classroom hours of preparation on the specifics of this trip.”
Brown and Jewell will travel from July 1-20. People To People is an education travel company, Bliefernich said. The students were responsible for covering the cost of their trip.
We look forward to seeing photos and hearing their experiences from this wonderful opportunity.
