Special
Education
The MHS Special Education Department
provides several differing levels and types of
services. These services range from the consultant
teacher model wherein the teacher works directly in the
classroom with the mainstream teacher and student. The
inclusionary model is a team approach by the mainstream
teacher and the special education teacher who delivers
education to a mix of classified and non-classified
students. The resource room service program is also a program where
students attend class in the learning lab where
remediation and I.E.P. goals are enhanced.
Middletown High School also offers a
testing modification room, which is staffed each period
of the school day to afford students access to testing
modifications at all times.
