Students participate in College Essay Writing Workshops

The Middletown High School Guidance Department and the College and Career Center hosted College Essay Writing Workshops on Nov.20 and Dec.1. Seniors were educated on effective resources to use while writing their college essay and were given suggestions on possible topics, Web sites, and given guidance on proper writing etiquette. 

According to Ann Hall, Director of Counseling and Student Services, students reported that they were able to learn where to go for help and develop a really great topic for their essay thanks to the workshops.

Guidance Counselors Linda Ferguson, Laura Armano, and Sean Thornell, along with College and Career Center Advisor Lisa Parker and English 12 teacher Mark Rosen collaborated together for the presentations.
