Alumni give students' insight on making college choices

JUNE 2008—Students at Middletown High School got some advice from some old and familiar faces on June 5 at the school's annual Alumni College Fair.

Alumni of Middletown were on hand for most of the day providing information about their college of choice and giving advice to students about the college selection process.

Students from Adelphi University, City College of New York, Long Island University, Penn State Greater Allegheny, Pratt Munson, SUNY Albany, Binghamton University, SUNY Delhi, SUNY New Paltz, Orange County Community College, Temple University, University of Rhode Island, and Westchester Community College, eagerly answered questions and handed out college material to Middletown students during the fair.

This is just one of the many college-related events that the school's College and Career Center has hosted this school year. High schoolers can continue their college search by visiting Lisa Parker, College & Career Center Advisor. Parker is available by appointment to meet with students or they can stop by the Center to schedule an appointment during school hours or before or after school. Parker is also available to meet with parents and students together to discuss career and college opportunities and search strategies. To make an appointment call (845) 326-1611.
