Our kids read at the school board meeting
Maple Hill News ON Jun 12, 2012

Maple Hill Elementary School fourth-graders Nathan Halsey and Alyssa Campos recently read their own memoirs at the Board of Education meeting.
Halsey and Campos are members of Mrs. Pat McGorry’s class, the students of which wrote personal narratives as a class assignment. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Eastwood told the kids earlier in the school year that when the class finished their memoirs, it was to select a boy and a girl to read at a board meeting.
The above photos are Halsey and Campos reading, accompanied by Mrs. McGorry. Halsey's story was titled, "Sausage." Campos' story was titled, "Nana and Me."
