Best Webquests-This is a list of Web quests categorized according to content area and grade (K-12).  At the bottom of the Web page are links explaining what a Web quest is, and an assessment matrix, and more.

EdCompass-This site is an online community for teachers using SMART products, such as the SMART Board in their classroom. This site includes numerous lesson activities, and downloadable templates under Software Resources to use with your SMART Board (K-12).

Girls are I.T.-Think a career in information technology is all math and machines? Then you’ll be surprised to learn that this field will let you be creative, help other people, improve our environment, and change the future of our planet.   This is a great resource where girls can explore the history of technology through an interactive timeline, read about empowering technology careers from women across the country, and post their ideas on how technology can improve our lives in the future (Grades 4-12).

Handheld Educator-The Handheld Educator series brings you, the educator, designed discussions and lessons that explore the integration of handheld computers into administration, teaching and learning (K-12).

MyTeacherTools.com-This site is a comprehensive directory of teaching tools. It includes preparation tools; reference tools; search tools; interactive tools (periodic tables, time tools, calculators, and more); financial tools; and miscellaneous tools (free Web page, grade books, and more) (K-12). 

Net Smartz-Internet Safety for Kids-The NetSmartz Workshop is an interactive, educational safety resource to teach kids and teens how to stay safer on the Internet. NetSmartz combines the newest technologies available and the most current information to create high-impact educational activities that are well received by even the most tech-savvy kids.

Palm Activities–This site offers ideas using Palm OS handhelds within the curriculum (K-12).

Palmone.com–This site is from Palm Education.  This site includes and education video library, education in sync newsletter, stories of how Palms are being used in schools, and more (K-12).

Rubistar-RubiStar is a free tool to help a teacher make quality rubrics. RubiStar is a tool to help the teacher who wants to use rubrics but does not have the time to develop them from scratch. Go to the tutorial (it includes information on changing categories, their headings and content) (K-12).

SBC Internet Safety Game-A simple game for younger students on basic Internet safety. The premise is a town with a nasty character lurking about, sending inappropriate e-mail and such. Students enter eight different buildings and answer a question on Internet safety. After students have completed the game, you may download a Certificate of Award (500 KB) and/or a printable version of the game (5 MB). This can be done as a group activity too to keep noise levels down (K-5).

Scholastic- This site gives you simple ways to integrate technology with your teaching practices without adding work or taking up precious time. The Tech Tutor section will give you great ideas on how to incorporate technology into your classroom (K-12).

Scholastic Instructor-Scholastic Instructor contains many useful resources.  Enjoy these links to useful and relevant sites! All links contained here have been tested by kids and approved by parents and teachers.  Take a look on the navigation bar ion the left for more useful Instructor links (K-12).

SMART Board in the Classroom- This site explores ideas for using interactive whiteboards in the classroom, adapting existing Notebook projects, and integrating resources for each subject area. There are numerous links according to subject area.  Most of the links are interactive and are great to use on a SMART Board (Pre-K-12).

Trackstar-TrackStar is your starting point for online lessons and activities. Simply collect Web sites, enter them into TrackStar, add annotations for your students, and you have an interactive, online lesson called a track. Create your own track or use one of the hundreds of thousands already made by other educators. Search the database by subject, grade, or theme and standard for a quick and easy activity. There is a fun track already made for each day of the year, too! (K-12)

Webquest - WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which most or all of the information used by learners is drawn from the Web. WebQuests are designed to use learners' time well, to focus on using information rather than looking for it, and to support learners' thinking at the levels of analysis, synthesis and evaluation.  To navigate on this Web page, first click on Examples, then WebQuest Portal, and lastly choose top, middling, or new-on the left navigation bar (K-12).

Microsoft Office Online for PowerPoint-This site offers help and tips on how to use PowerPoint.  This site also includes templates to download.

PowerPoint in the Classroom-This site offers tutorials and a step-by-step guide on how to create a PowerPoint presentation for your classroom.  The site also includes a Teacher’s Guide. The main site actDEN offers numerous online software tutorials.  They give some classroom ideas.

PowerPointers.com-This site offers tips and articles on how to improve presentations.

Internet4classrooms-This site includes basic slideshows, advanced slideshows, slideshows to download, and integration ideas.  At this extension of their site they have many tutorials Online Practice Modules.

Website Estates-This site offers free PowerPoint backgrounds for students and educators.

Presenter’s University-This site offers free PowerPoint background templates.  On the left, is a section dedicated to education.

EPSON Presenters Online-This site has numerous online tutorials for PowerPoint presentations. 

Electric Teacher-This site has numerous online PowerPoint tutorials for teachers.

Tools for Elementary School Teachers-This site from Microsoft offers assistance on incorporating Microsoft Office into your classroom.

Microsoft in Education-This site offers lesson plans, tutorials, templates, and clip art for K-12 teachers.

Microsoft Office Classroom Tools-Download these tools that are designed to help teachers, students, and administrators integrate Microsoft Office into everyday instruction, learning, and classroom management.
