BrainPop-BrainPOP is an educational program,
providing content spanning 7 main subjects including:
science; math; English; social studies; health; arts and
music, and technology. The district also subscribes to
BrainPopJr and
BrainPop Espanol. Please contact the E2T2 office
for subscription information.
Engaging Learners the SMART Way-The site offers a
list of interactive Web sites to use with your SMART
Board (Grades K-12).
Essay Punch-This takes you through the steps of
writing an essay (great with SMART Board). Click on
Start Writing Now (Grades 5-12).
Interactives-"Interactives"
provides educators and students with strategies,
content, and activities that can enhance and improve
students' skills in a variety of curricular areas.
Interactive
Web sites–This site offers a list of interactive
Web sites to utilize with the SMART Board and is arranged
by curriculum area for grades K-12.
Interactive
Web sites for Classrooms–This site offers lists
of interactive Web sites that can be used with the SMART
Board. Watch for the yellow icon, “SMART Board Activity
(Grades K-6).
NYLearns–use the search button and type, “e2t2”
then go. You will find over 200 SMART Board lessons
submitted by the Middletown City School District SMART
Board teachers.
Paragraph Punch-This takes you through the steps
of writing a paragraph (great with SMART Board). Click
on Start Writing Now (Grades 5-12).
Primary Interactive White Board Resources–This
British Web site offers interactive activities for math,
English, science, and other subjects. On the left
navigation bar you will see other subject links (Grades
PreK-3).
Read, Write, Think–ReadWriteThink offers a
collection of online Student Materials to support
literacy learning in the K-12 classroom. These
interactive tools can be used to supplement a variety of
lessons and provide an opportunity for students to use
technology, while developing their literacy skills. Click
on the name of each interactive for a brief description
of the tool and a list of the ReadWriteThink lessons
that use the tool. From there you'll also be able to
directly access the tool and use it in your classroom
(Grade K-12).
Reading
is Fundamental–Poetry Splatter-Writing
poems has never been so much fun. Using Poetry
Splatter is easy. Students simply choose a poem title
from a list. When they see their poem frame, they fill
in the blanks with words that are spattered onto the
screen.
Scholastic-Persuasive Writing–This interactive
site has interactive lessons to help you enhance your
persuasive writing. This site is great to use with
the SMART Board (Grades 5-12).
SMART Notebook Lessons–The site from SMART
Technologies offers SMART Notebook lesson plans created
and sorted by curriculum and grade (Grades K-12).
SMART Notebook Ready-Made Activities–This site
contains a list of ready-made SMART Notebook lessons and
is arranged by grade and curriculum from Wichita Public
Schools (Grade K-12).
SMARTTech-The
educator portion of SMARTTech is now offering a list of
interactive websites that can be used with the SMART
Board. They have organized their list by elementary and
secondary levels, along with specific content area
(Grades PreK-12).
SMART Training Center–SMART Technologies offers
quick interactive 2-minute SMART Board tutorials on its
use.
Tequipment Educator Resource Center-This site,
offered by the training staff at Tequipment, allows you
to download SMART Notebook templates (All grades).
This resource is free, but you must create a login.
Topmarks Education-
This site was conceived by Sue Spolton, a primary school
teacher from the UK. The website was created to provide
easy access to the best educational web sites, to help
teachers use the web in the classroom, and to help
parents to support the education of their children.
This site offers numerous interactive websites to
utilize with a SMART Board (Grades PreK-5).
Writing Den–This site offers a Tip-O-Matic with
your writing needs (sentences, paragraphs, & essays).
This site is interactive and works well with a SMART
Board (Grades 3-12).
United Streaming–This site from Discovery
Education offers videos on a variety of topics for all
grade levels, includes a teacher resource section and
student resource section. The district subscribes to
