BOARD OF EDUCATION

MIDDLETOWN, NEW YORK

DECEMBER 27, 2007 – SPECIAL MEETING 

A special meeting of the Board of Education of the Enlarged City School District of Middletown, New York was held Thursday, December 27, 2007, at the Board of Education Office, 223 Wisner Avenue. 

Present:         Mr. Geiger, Mr. Crescenzo, Mr. Estrada, Ms. Perkins, Mr. Perrino – 5.

Absent:          Ms. Tobiassen, Mrs. Knapp, Dr. Mauro, Mr. Paul – 4.                              

Others            Kenneth W. Eastwood, Superintendent of Schools
Attending:      Thomas Scott, Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds

The meeting was called to order at 9:05 a.m.

Mr. Crescenzo made a motion, seconded by Mr. Perrino, to accept the following resolution:

Special Meeting of the Board of Education

Resolution to Accept Bids

WHEREAS, the Board of Education solicited bids for the capital project approved by the voters on December 5, 2006.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education award the following bids for the high school project of said capital project:

1. Harry F. Rotolo & Son Inc. for electric base bid of $763,000 and alternate H.S. E-1 for $52,000;

2. Pearl River Plumbing, Heating & Electric Inc. for a HVAC base bid of $1,511,868 and alternate H.S. M-1 for $121,982; and,

3. Vardon, Inc. for a plumbing base bid of $988,960 and alternate H.S. P-1 for $31,700.

Ayes:  Mr. Geiger, Mr. Crescenzo, Mr. Estrada, Ms. Perkins, Mr. Perrino – 5.  Noes:  None.  Motion was unanimously approved.

At 9:22 a.m., there being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at this time.  Motion was unanimously approved.
