AUDIT COMMITTEE MEETING

SEPTEMBER 12, 2006

A meeting of the Audit Committee of the Enlarged City School District of Middletown, New York was held on Wednesday, September 12, 2006, at 223 Wisner Avenue, Middletown, New York. The meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m.

Present: Edwin Estrada, William Geiger, Raquel Martinez, Rose Tobiassen

Invitee: Elizabeth McKean

The Audit Committee discussed Charter requirements and the Committee’s recommendation. Ms. McKean will adjust Charter Sample 1 to reflect the Committee’s decisions and will email to Committee members.

The Audit Committee determined they should again, contact the second public applicant to see if the appointment can be arranged and will discuss the time commitment required.

Ms. McKean distributed copies of responses to RFP for the internal auditor (opened on 9/12/06 at 10:00 a.m.). Ms. McKean will do a comparative chart for the Audit Committee members to review. The members will make a decision at the September 26, 2006 Audit Committee meeting.

Ms. McKean will call the external auditor’s to do a draft report presentation at the September 26, 2006 Audit Committee meeting. Presentations should be limited to twenty minutes.

The next Audit Committee meeting is scheduled to be held on September 26, 2006, at 6:00 p.m.
