A regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Enlarged City School District of Middletown, New York was held Thursday, November 2, 2006, at the Board of Education Office, 223 Wisner Avenue, Board President Vincent Crescenzo, presiding.
Present: Mrs. Botti, Mr. Estrada, Mr. Geiger, Mrs. Knapp (arrived at 7:50 p.m.), Mr. Paul, Ms. Perkins, Mr. Perrino, Ms. Tobiassen, Mr. Crescenzo – 9.

Mr. Crescenzo called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. Mr. Perrino made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Botti, to have an executive session to discuss matters pertaining to proposed, pending or current litigation.
Public session resumed at 7:45 p.m.
Mr. Crescenzo led the pledge to the flag.
Mr. Perrino made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Botti, to amend the agenda to add a resolution as required by the Middletown School District’s legal counsel.

Mr. Estrada made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Botti, to approve the following resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board authorizes the Board President to sign a letter dated October 26, 2006, pertaining to litigation, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board authorizes counsel to enter into an agreement, dated November 2, 2006, on it’s behalf pertaining to litigation.

Mrs. Botti made a motion, seconded by Mr. Estrada to take from table, the Appointment of Internal Auditor.
Now, as part of the agenda, Mr. Perrino made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Botti, to approve the appointment of Internal Auditor.

Ms. Perkins made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Botti, for the Board to come to an agreement to attend a retreat that assists all Board members to be able to work on inter-personal relationships.
